BAGG FINED, AMONG OTHERS

TORONTO – The Canadian Football League announced today that it has fined the following players:

BC Lions linebacker Adam Bighill for a dangerous and illegal hit in which he led with his helmet when tackling an opponent during last Sunday night’s game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Bighill was also penalized on the play.

Montreal Alouettes receiver Duron Carter, Lions defensive back Ryan Phillips and Roughriders receiver Rob Bagg for tweeting comments that were critical of CFL officiating.

Toronto Argonauts defensive lineman Aston Whiteside for making avoidable physical contact with an on-field official during last Saturday’s game against the Edmonton Eskimos.

As per league policy, the amounts of the fines were not disclosed.

Bagg dropped the ball because he's not used to it being right there. Usually have to jump or dive.

Agreed with anon 1, Rob keep your twitter quiet after you drop a pass like that and be a Pro.

His tweet was before the drop and regarding a the non-sensical pass interference replay fiasco. In fact one of those other fines was from the same play in the Friday night game.

Who cares about the drop, didn't matter , Dan Clark was Johnny on the spot to pick up the slack. Riders won….relax

Had a game official tweeted about the Rob Bagg drop after the game, I am sure he would have been fined too. The pros need to dump tweeter.

Criticism of cfl officiating. Can't be. Cfl officials are some of the best around ( tongue in cheek ).

Thank God for instant replay. Without that Well I can't say any more. I may get fined. Lmao

He tweeted about a game he was watching on TV. Bad luck for Bagg. Does the cfl constantly monitor all players twitter accounts and why is the cfl brass so insecure that they can't handle any criticism? Bad calls get made. People talk about them. Get better, don't fine people for noticing.
