Saskatoon, Sask. — Connor Bedard scored his 70th goal of the season, Kelton Pyne made 42 saves and the Regina Pats finished the weekend on a high note, defeating the Saskatoon Blades 4-2 on Sunday inside the SaskTel Centre.

Kelton Pyne shutout the Blades through 40 minutes of play and finished the night with a career-best 42 saves, earning his third victory of the season. Connor Bedard scored the Pats fourth goal to make it a 4-1 game late in the third lead period, becoming the first Pats player to score 70+ goals since Dale Derkatch in 1983-84.

Brayden Barnett scored his third of the season (GWG), Tanner Howe netted his 34th and Alexander Suzdalev picked up his 38th goal of the year to round out the scoring. The Pats have won two straight games and three of their last four games.

The Blades had their two game winning-streak come to a close. Brandon Lisowsky scored twice and Austin Elliott made 18 saves in the loss.

The attendance for the game was 14,786, a new Saskatoon Blades record.

Was at the game, gutsy effort by the Pats, considering 3 in 3, while Blades were back to back. Huge crowd!
For the most part Blades outplayed Pats, Pyne stole the show. Shots showed.
Oh well Bedard gets 70th nice to see. Don’t think the fans liked it. Again, he filled the rink.
