BELLEFEUILLE DUMPED IN WINNIPEG
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has informed offensive coordinator Marcel Bellefeuille his contract will not be renewed for the 2016 season.
“I spoke with Marcel this morning and informed him of my decision,” said Head Coach Mike O’Shea. “As I’ve said before, those conversations are not easy to have but we needed to move in a different direction, and we will immediately begin the search for a new offensive coordinator.”
“This has to be someone who can come in and initiate change in our offence and give us a great opportunity to win offensively every week,” O’Shea continued. “We feel we have a franchise quarterback and some solid pieces around him. Our offensive staff, led by our new coordinator, will be charged with getting better production from our offensive unit.”
Regarding the position coaches on the offensive staff, O’Shea added, “The offensive staff for 2016 and beyond will be determined by the incoming coordinator and myself.”
Bob Dyce up next for co-ordinator in his home town?
How does O'Shea survive? Only in Winnipeg!
Marcel coming back to sask. Head coach
Marcel will be the next Riders head coach.
Rider Head coach? Not a chance
^^^^^^^^^^ You two previous Anon Posts on crack?
If anyone was on crack they would hire Chamblin as head coach …. oh wait ??
Bobby Dyce to Winnipeg
Hopefully the Riders pick him up.
Dyce to WPG. Count on it!
Marcel is a perfect example of recycled coaches in this league. He has had only average success at best. How does he keep getting gigs? He needs to go back to University coaching.
Nah, next Rider coach is Gibson from Regina Rams
