Lol… 4651… way to go saskatoon sports fans!!!
Who won the game?
Huge crowd for a Blades game, must have given away 2,000 tickets.
Usually blades draw 1500 fans
That's just for the warm up.
Lol…. Patsies draw 6000 to one game and think they are kings -even though 2000 were freebies. At least the Blades know they are bad, you guys are just in denial – especially after that terrible game on Saturday
They will fold
My god people can we put this debate to bed in regards to attendance. BOTH cities suck when it comes to supporting their respective junior hockey teams. Regina average's 4133 per game and Saskatoon is 3995 so you can see they both suck at supporting. The Riders needs the whole province to succeed as the Rush will need the whole province to be successful. Stop comparing Calgary and Edmonton as both of these cities have the entire population of Saskatchewan within a 1 hours drive of each of their rinks. Can we just debate the games instead. This is the first year since 2007-2008 that the pats average attendance is higher than the Blades. Congrats.
And now…getting back to the game. Blades were hungrier tonight and made the boys look very bad. Defense was attrocious as well as back checking. Hobbs/Williams – need you badly. No blame on the tenders for this disaster. When a call up (Holmes) outshines some of the vets there has to be some concern from the caoches and those vets. R Woods continues to impress…great decision by the coaches to send him down earlier for conditioning, add'l ice time as well as get his offensive confidence back. The good thing is the weekend didn't change much in the overall standings… Read more »
Saskatoon just isn't a good sports city… in fact, it's not a good city at all.
Regina, the city that rhymes with a smelly onion.
Regina, the home to the greatest professional sports franchise in the world!!!
We here in Saskatoon were told recently that all the Regina Pats were seen climbing trees in the park because they wanted to PLAY WITH THE LEAFS.
Time to start sitting some of the veterans as the lack of effort is complete bull crap. Young guys coming in and performing as they have, WOW!!!!!!!!! If this team has to rely on two players such as Hobbs/Williams,to carry us through every game than we have a bigger issue than being a young team.( Durant gets hurt riders die) same thing with the Pats.Hope not. If the coaches and ownership is building a team for the future with these kind of thoughts and letting players not be accountable for there lack of performance on the ice than were in… Read more »
I'm a season ticket holder of 6 seats as well. Have to admit, was rethinking automatic renewal for next year too.
how come anytime the Pats have a good crowd – it has to be that they gave away tickets? where do people come up with these ideas that the organization is always giving away tickets?
the owners are crooks and they charge too much – but they also give away thousands of tickets per game. something doesn't add up with that thought process.
give credit where it is due. queen city owners are making the appropriate steps to make the team relevant again in regina.
i wish them the best of luck with the rebuild, on and off the ice.
Typical Canadian sports fan, I only support winning teams
Well said by the last report…many people really looking at next year…but like they said last year "If you don't like it…don't buy tickets"
Won't be renewing our Season Tickets in Section 109.
Ray
Ray, what row and seats you at? I'll try them out for Fridays game. Turn them over now, I'll pay you difference for rest of season. Good riddance!
