BLADES OVERPOWER PATS 6-2
Saskatoon, Sask. — Saskatoon Blades Belarusian import forward Egor Sidorov netted a hat-trick on Saturday night in a 6-2 win over the Regina Pats.
Also scoring for the Blades were Tristen Robins, captain Aidan De La Gorgendiere and Kyle Crnkovic, who put the game to bed with an empty-netter in the final minute of play.
Connor Bedard scored his 29th goal of the season in a losing cause, using his quick release to blast one past Nolan Maier in the second period. He also added an assist on Tanner Howe’s 17th goal of the season.
Bedard now has 54 points this season in 36 games. His 1.50 points per game rank 4th in the WHL, behind only Logan Stankoven (1.73), Jake Neighbours (1.63) and Kyle Crnkovic (1.57).
The Pats allowed two power play goals in this one, however one came with 15 seconds to go in the game, when the result was already in the bag.
The shots on goal were even 30-30.
