BLUES DOWN THE WHITES IN PATS INTRASQUAD

Regina, Saskatchewan – Nick Henry and Justyn Gurney had three-point nights to lead Team Blue to a 5-3 win over Team White on Monday in the Pats annual Blue and White Game.

Gurney opened the scoring and Henry extended the lead to two goals before the midpoint of the opening frame. Later in the period Callum Fortin got one back for Team White and it was 2-1 after one.

In the second, Team White picked up goals from Bryce Platt and Cale Sanders to lead 3-2 after two periods.

In the third, Team Blue scored three times beginning with a highlight reel goal from Nick Henry, his second of the night, and late goals from Carter Massier and Nikita Sedov.

Kyle Dumba earned the win for Team Blue making 33 saves in relief of Jared Thompson who stopped 19 of 21.

The Pats will kick off the pre-season on Friday at the Brandt Centre against the Swift Current Broncos at 7 p.m.
