BOMBERS EXTEND NEUFELD

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today are pleased to announce the club has signed National offensive lineman Pat Neufeld to a contract extension.
Neufeld started eight games on the offensive line in 2014, his fourth season in the Canadian Football League, and first full season with the Bombers. He was originally drafted in 2010 by Saskatchewan, playing in 37 games over three seasons, and winning a Grey Cup in 2013.

“Pat Neufeld is a strong asset for us on our offensive line,” said Blue Bombers General Manager Kyle Walters. “Obviously we need to him to stay healthy and Pat knows that more than anybody. He is a hard working young man, and we have full confidence he will make a solid impact on our offensive line in 2015.”

“To be able to sign this agreement and have some clear picture of the future is a great thing personally for me,” said Neufeld. “When I was first traded to Winnipeg from the Riders, obviously it was hard to leave family and where I grew up, but it quickly became clear Winnipeg is a great spot to play football. I know as an offensive unit we are excited about 2015, and getting back out there to build on this past season.”
