BOMBERS TOP BRUINS IN GAME 7

The Flin Flon Bombers officially punched their ticket to the 2nd round of the SJHL Playoffs Tuesday night with a thrilling 2-1 home win in overtime over the Estevan Bruins.
Cole Dupperault scored a power play goal at 1:35 of overtime courtesy of a weird bounce on a shoot-in that eluded Bruins goalkeeper Cam Hrdlicka. Ethan Mercer scored the other Bomber goal while Kade Runke scored the lone tally for Estevan.
The game was 0-0 after one period and tied 1-1 after 40 minutes.
The Flin Flon Bombers will now move on to face the Humboldt Broncos in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Meanwhile, the other series will feature the Battlefords North Stars tangling with the Melfort Mustangs. Both of those series will start this weekend. Final schedules for both series have yet to be released.
