The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the contract extension of import slotback Adarius Bowman, keeping him in Green and Gold through 2015.

After missing all but two games in 2012 due to a knee injury, Bowman was activated off the 9-game injured list in Week 11 for the 2013 Labour Day Rematch against the Calgary Stampeders. In nine games, he recorded 44 catches for 697 yards and five touchdowns.  In Week 18, against the BC Lions, he caught six passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns – the third highest single-game yards of his career and his second highest as an Eskimo.

Bowman originally signed as a free agent on Jan. 19, 2011. In his first season with Edmonton, he finished with a CFL-best 18.6 yards-per-catch, second on the team in receptions (62) and tied for the team lead in receiving yards (1,153). He earned Gibson’s Finest Offensive Player of the Week in the final game of the regular season when he hauled in 10 catches for 226 yards and two touchdowns – the best single-game performance by a CFL receiver that season.
