Calgary, AB – The Western Hockey League announced Monday that Regina Pats forward Adam Brooks has been named the WHL Player of the Week for the week ending November 13, 2016.

Brooks registered six points (1G-5A) in two games to help the Regina Pats go 2-0-0-0 this past week, extending the team’s winning streak to 10 games.

On Thursday, November 10 versus the Moose Jaw Warriors, Brooks put forth three assists in a 5-4 overtime victory. The 20-year-old product of Winnipeg followed up with a goal and two assists on Sunday, November 13 in an 8-4 win over the Red Deer Rebels, earning second-star recognition.

Brooks is currently 11th in Western Hockey League scoring, having collected 25 points (7G-18A) in 11 games since returning from training camps with the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL’s Toronto Marlies.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound centre was a fourth round pick (92nd) of the Maple Leafs at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Brooks won the Bobby Clarke Trophy as the WHL’s Top Scorer at the conclusion of the 2015-16 campaign, having registered 120 points (38G-82A) in 72 games.

Brooks is in his fifth WHL season, having amassed 230 points (83G-147A) in 262 career WHL regular season games, all with the Pats.

What the hell ? The guy was just indicating that it is to early to call them Champions when they haven't been through injuries and the flu bug that every other team does not only in Junior hockey but any sport go through. Man you cant say anything on here without getting your head torn off for sometimes just the way it is worded.

Actually, the Pats DID go trough and injury bug already. Brooks played defence for a couple games even. Also, the first poster didn't say a thing about people talking about the Pats being champions. That poster is hoping for injuries and flu so that Rod will talk about things concerning all of Saskatchewan. So, ya…first poster IS being stupid.
