Burris Comments On RedBlacks Head Coaching Vacancy

Henry Burris didn’t say immediately say no when asked if he’d be interested in the head coaching vacancy with the CFL’s Ottawa RedBlacks.
Bob Dyce was fired as RedBlacks coach on Saturday after the club finished the 2025 season with a league-worst 4-14 record.
“Always love Ottawa,” Burris said via text Monday morning from Tallahassee, FL where he is Co-Offensive Coordinator and QBs coach of the Florida A&M Rattlers.
“However the details have to fit. Organizational and numbers. The investment on this (FLA A&M) end has placed me in a great position. Has to be worth it. You know I love Ottawa.”
Who doesn’t???
Burris is a Canadian Football Hall of Fame quarterback and led the RedBlacks to the franchise’s lone Grey Cup title in 2016. He is in his second season on James Colzie’s staff at FLA A&M and has had prior coaching stints with the NFL’s Bears, Jaguars & Rams.
