CFL OFFERS SUPPORT TO FORT MCMURRAY
All nine CFL teams and the League Office have united to support Fort McMurray and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo who so graciously hosted the league on two occasions last season.A combined $50,000 donation will be made to the Red Cross to support relief efforts. A special thank you to the Edmonton Eskimos who have helped lead this initiative.“Our thoughts are with the people of Fort McMurray,” said Jeffrey L. Orridge, Commissioner of the Canadian Football League. “They have been our gracious hosts. They are our friends. And most importantly, they are our fellow Canadians. All of our teams, and I know all of our fans, wish them safe passage and in time a full recovery from this crisis.”In addition to this donation, the CFL will contribute its proceeds from May 12, 2016, CFL/adidas sales on CFLShop.ca to the Red Cross. That is the day the CFL is launching its new adidas collection for the upcoming season.
Will the rider store follow suit and also donate proceeds on the 12th? Not many of us are used to using CFLShop.ca
GangGreen – pretty sure the Riders wouldn't be giving up any of the profits from selling jerseys. That's where the big profits are.
