REDBLACKS 34 BLUE BOMBERS 7

WINNIPEG – Virtual QB Nick Arbuckle threw for 416 yards and four touchdowns as his Ottawa RedBlacks rolled to their fourth straight win, blitzing the Blue Bombers Saturday at IG Field.

In a computer-generated game on Doug Flutie’s Maximum Football, the first-year Ottawa starting pivot was throwing TD bombs including a 29-yarder to Jerminic Smith, a 73-yarder to Brad Sinopoli and a 4-yarder to Marco Dubois. Kicker Lewis Ward was 2/2 on field goals.

Ottawa led 14-0 after the first quarter and 31-0 at halftime. The visitors carried a 31-7 lead into the fourth.

Bomber QB Zach Collaros threw for 216 yards and one interception (to the RedBlacks Sherrod Baltimore). Nic Demski led all Bomber receivers with 89 yards while Darvin Adams scored the team’s lone touchdown, on a 12-yard pass from Collaros. The highlights for Winnipeg came on defense as Jackson Jeffcoat notched two sacks and Adam Bighill came up with an interception.

With the win, Ottawa took over sole possession of second-place in the CFL SIM East at 4-7 while Winnipeg fell to 4-6.

ARGONAUTS 26 ALOUETTES 7

TORONTO – The hometown Argonauts got back in the win column with a convincing 26-7 win over the Montreal Alouettes Saturday at BMO Field.

In a computer-generated game on Doug Flutie’s Maximum Football, Argos QB Matt Nichols threw for 319 yards and two touchdowns (both to WR Llevi Noel). Kicker Boris Bede was 4/5 on field goals.

Montreal led 1-0 after the first quarter while Toronto led 10-1 at halftime. A 16-point second half powered the Argos to victory.

Alouettes QB Vernon Adams Jr. was impressive, tossing for 333 yards but struggled in the redzone. Montreal’s scoring came from kicker Tyler Crapigna on two field goals and a punt single.

The Argos remain the leaders in the CFL SIM East Division at 7-3 while the Alouettes fell to 3-8.
