WINNIPEG – The gunslingers came out duelling on Friday Night Football in Week 18 of CFL SIM action at IG Field.

In a computer-simulated game on Doug Flutie’s Maximum Football, Winnipeg’s Zach Collaros and Edmonton’s Trevor Harris passed for a combined 780 yards but Edmonton came out on top 33-13 in a West Division collision.

On the Bombers’ second play from scrimmage Collaros connected with Darvin Adams for a 76-yard score and an early 7-0 lead. Edmonton answered back on the ensuing drive as Harris found Kenny Shaw for a 90-yard score and the slugfest was on.

Edmonton led 12-7 after the first quarter (Harris notched 137 yards passing in the opening frame) and 15-10 at the break. An 11-point third quarter for Edmonton gave them a 26-13 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.

Shaw counted two TDs on the night and led Edmonton in receiving (117 yards) while Shaquille Cooper added 89 yards on the ground. For Winnipeg, Adams led the way with 97 yards receiving followed by Lucky Whitehead with 94. Andrew Harris counted 55 yards rushing.

The Bomber defense was opportunistic as Chris Lyles (2), Adam Bighill (2) and Micah Awe all came up with interceptions. For Edmonton, safety Jordan Hoover came up with three interceptions while Kwaku Boateng registered the team’s lone sack.
