CFL SIM: STAMPEDERS ROUT BOMBERS 19-2
CALGARY – A 17-point third quarter powered the Calgary Stampeders to a 19-2 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Sunday to close out Week 16 in CFL SIM action.
In a computer-simulated game on Doug Flutie’s Maximum Football, Calgary quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell passed for 281 yards and 1 touchdown (a 78-yarder to Eric Rogers) to up the Stampeders’ SIM-leading win total to 12.
Calgary led 1-0, 18-0 and 18-0 by quarter. Winnipeg’s only points came off a safety conceded by Calgary punter Ronnie Pfeffer in the fourth quarter.
Stamps kicker Rene Parades was 1/3 on field goals while his counterpart Justin Medlock of Winnipeg never got one attempt. Blue Bombers QB Zach Collaros threw for 238 yards in a losing cause.
