CFL SIM WEEK 17 FINALE: TICATS, LIONS ROAD WARRIORS

ALS-TICATS

MONTREAL – On a beautiful fall day at virtual Percival Molson Stadium, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats crashed the party.

In a computer-simulated game on Doug Flutie’s Maximum Football Sunday afternoon, Hamilton quarterback Dane Evans and his offense exploded for 15 points in the second quarter on the way to a 22-11 win over the Alouettes. The win pulled Hamilton even with Montreal for 3rd-place in the CFL SIM East Division.

Hamilton led 4-0, 19-2 and 22-3 by quarter. Evans finished with 297 yards passing and rushed for a touchdown. A key play in the game was a Frankie Williams interception off Montreal pivot Vernon Adams Jr. which set up Evans’ rushing score in that second quarter. RB Sean Thomas-Erlington had 45 rushing yards on 11 carries for the Tabbies.

Adams tossed for 253 yards and his leading receiver was Eugene Lewis (5/107). Former Roughrider Naaman Roosevelt notched a 30-yard touchdown reception in a losing cause. RB James Wilder Jr. had 64 yards rushing.

Als kicker Tyler Crapigna was 0/2 on field goals while his counterpart Matthew White went 4/6.

TORONTO – In a game formerly known as the Braley Bowl, BC quarterback Mike Reilly threw for 247 yards and a touchdown to lead the Lions to a 22-7 upset victory over the Argonauts Sunday afternoon.
