CHICK SPEAKS IN KITCHENER TODAY

KITCHENER, ON – John Chick, #97 and defensive end for the 2013 Grey Cup winning Saskatchewan Roughriders will address the Diabetes Research Infosium audience at Bingemans on Wednesday, March 26th.

Chick, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 14, will share his insights on managing the disease while playing professional sports.

Dr. Joseph Cafazzo of the Centre for Global eHealth Innovation will also be on hand to discuss the latest technological advances in diabetes management.

Dave Prowten, President and CEO of JDRF Canada will share the foundation’s research updates.

A Health Fair will be set up in the ballroom lobby featuring:

-the latest gadgets and treatments in diabetes care
-local interest and support groups
-diabetes-related products and events
