CHRIS BEST REMAINS WITH ROUGHRIDERS
The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced national offensive lineman Chris Best has signed an extension to remain with the team through 2017. As per club policy, financial details of the contract were not released.
Selected in the first round (4th overall) of the 2005 CFL Draft, Best is set to enter his 10th season with the Green and White. The 32-year-old native of Calgary has played 114 career regular season games, with 94 career starts, appearing mainly a right guard.
The University of Waterloo product has played seven playoff games and three Grey Cup games, including the Riders 2013 championship. He was also a member of the Riders 2007 Grey Cup winning team.
