CITO GASTON TO HEADLINE RED SOX SPORTS DINNER

Regina Red Sox team President Gary Brotzel announced on 620 CKRM’s SportsCage on Wednesday that legendary Blue Jays manager Cito Gaston will be the keynote speaker at this year’s fundraising dinner.

Cito Gaston managed the Toronto Blue Jays from 1989 to 1997, and again from 2008 to 2010. During this time, he managed the Blue Jays to four American League East division titles (1989, 1991, 1992 and 1993), two American League pennants (1992 and 1993) and two World Series titles (1992 and 1993).

Over the years the Red Sox dinner has featured such baseball and Blue Jays greats as Roberto Alomar, Devon White, Jesse Barfield, Jose Canseco, Tommy John, Duane Ward and Tommy John.

The MC for this year’s event will be the Voice of the Roughriders and SportsCage host Rod Pedersen.
