It’s Tuesday and time for the Good, the Great & the Ugly!

First the good: It’s an all-Blue Jays edition today. And it’s obviously all kinds of good that the Toronto Blue Jays are off to the World Series for the first time since 1993 after vanquishing the Seattle Mariners 4-3 in Game 7 of the ALCS Monday night.

The Jays overcame a shaky start by Shane Bieber and their bullpen held on after George Springer delivered a 3-run homer in the 7th inning to turn the tide.

Nothing but good vibes with the blue birds right now.

Next the great: How about that George Springer? When Toronto signed him for $25-million per season a few years ago I was leery, and originally he spent more time in the cold tub than on the field.

But he etched himself into Blue Jays lore with that Springer Dinger last night and the insiders tell me he’s playing in more pain than we even know.

Money well spent.

And Rogers may be regretting not locking up Jays President Mark Shapiro during the regular season because he can hold them for a king’s ransom now.

And finally the ugly: I joked months ago with RP Show football analyst Jim Barker about my Blue Jays facing his L.A. Dodgers in the World Series.

Now here it is.

The storylines are already rife. Shohei Ohtani spurned the Jays for L.A. in free agency a couple years ago and now they meet again. The new Evil Empire versus Canada’s Team.

Scruffy says the Dodgers are everything that’s wrong with baseball. Ugly abuse of baseball’s salary system.

The fun is just getting started.

That’s today’s Rod Pedersen Commentary.

Every one of the Blue Jay’s starters had a hit. Varshu had two.
