O.J. Simpson In The Naked Gun

A coupla three or more thoughts heading into the weekend …
#1 – Holy smokes what a week! The biggest story of ‘em all was Thursday’s news that Hall of Famer O.J. Simpson passed away at age 76 from prostate cancer.
I checked, and there was no acknowledgement from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, nor his teams: USC or the Buffalo Bills.
I wouldn’t either.
#2 – The Masters is underway and while I’m not a golf guy, I can appreciate the magnitude of the event. However I was quite annoyed on Thursday when golf analyst Luke Elvy told the RP Show that the whole LIV Golf/PGA war was overblown by the media.
How would I know? But I’m glad I asked. And it just underscores how everybody can get worked up over nothing and sometimes things get said in the heat of the moment which you can never come back from. And the media’s to blame.
Choose wisely.
#3 – A hearty bravo to my good pals Dave Thomas and Justin Dunk for joining Rider Radio, and getting to work alongside my close friend Luc Mullinder.
It appears they finally got it right and there’s no doubt this is a fresh new era of Roughrider football in the booth and on the field.
And with Jim Hopson, George Reed and John Lynch leaving us this off-season, it really seems like a different time. It was the biggest honour of my life to have been part of the old one, but unfortunately but I’m just not old enough to ride off into the sunset. (Is it starting to make sense yet?)
#4 – So speaking of, I feel like this weekend might be a great chance to do something hyperlocal … like checking out the Raptors & Heat in Miami!

Will OJ’s hearse be a Ford Bronco?
I won’t come on here and defend O.J Simpson, but let’s look at this from a John Salley on VLAD TV perspective. It’s up to the government to prove a case. Think of all the black guys in prison right up to a few years ago a cop is actually kneeling on a guys neck and kills him in plain sight. Prior to O.J – the kids won’t remember, but there was a Rodney King deal – that was on video. Prior to that Johnny Cochrane got the chokehold bannded because black men were getting their necks snapped by “resisting”.… Read more »
Still amazed at the mountain of evidence against him and “if the glove doesn’t fit, you must acquit.”. Colin Thatcher was guilty here, for life with 1/10 of the evidence.
The jurors let him go as a big f.u. to the LAPD on account of Rodney King. One juror in particular even gave an interview to this effect.
And Thatcher was plenty guilty too.
..that and the prosecuters were so dumb it was beyond comprehension. DNA all over. This is before csi vegas. 3 sets of DNA and 1 is alive. Ball game over. Thatchers alibi was his kids and a house keeper. He had the kids brain washed/gaslit. The housekeeper – nobody is going to take a fall for their employer. So two things either happened – he did it.
