COMMENTARY: WHAT GOES AROUND …

(Listen daily for the RP Commentary on the All New Hits 98 CKHD & LTD Radio)

I’d always heard that the higher up you get, the easier it is (in the media) and also, what goes around comes around.

That second part I already knew, but the first one has been quite a revelation.

Let me explain.

The RP Show is going back to Super Bowl only this time instead of broadcasting from an airport hotel lobby like we did in L.A. two years ago, we’ll be right on Radio Row alongside the likes of Pat McAfee, NFL Radio, ESPN, etc. at Mandalay Bay.

We visited there two years ago and that’s where we met the likes of Michael Irvin and Deebo Samuel, and an endless string of football celebrities available for interviews. We were told that’s the place to be, and we need to be there.

So this time we are. And then add to that my inbox being jammed with messages from NFL P.R. about all kinds of interview guests and suggestions of people who will be on-site.

It beats spending half your time wrangling for guests and praying they show up!

It is a lot easier in the NFL.

And when it comes to the Sober Bowl (the party on Super Bowl Sunday at Clark County Amphitheater), the organizers discovered via Google that I’d been hosting Sober Bowls in Regina over the years and rather than shut me down completely or send a Cease & Desist letter, they got in touch and asked if I’d like to be a part of their Vegas event.

They liked the positive press our events generated and wanted to work together.

Now that is a dream come true, and what I’d always been hoping for.

One thing I’d always heard and am just now learning to be true: the longer it takes for the karma to come around, the bigger it hits.

That’s today’s Rod Pedersen Commentary

(The Rod Pedersen Show airs daily at 12 pm & 5 pm on Game+TV, WQEE Radio, Podcast & YouTube Live)

RPShow_ It reminds of the tv movie song from The Jeffersons, Moving on up to the Eastside.

I am running through a wall for you right now Rod. Thanks for giving me hope. I am working to make my own breaks and not just waiting around. Karma should be on my side. Thank you for inspiring us who are trying in our own lives to do the same thing. You are a living, breathing example. Couldn’t be happier for you
