COORS LIGHT RECAP: BRONCOS DOWN PATS 4-1

REGINA – The Regina Pats fell 4-1 at the hands of the Swift Current Broncos on Sunday afternoon at the Brandt Centre.

Despite outshooting the Broncos 17-9 in the first, the Pats found themselves down 1-0 at the break.

In the second, a tough bounce off a skate ended up on the tape of Matteo Gennaro in the slot who spun and buried into the top corner and it was 2-0 Broncos after 40 minutes.

In the third, the Broncos powerplay extended the lead to 3-0 before Cale Fleury broke through for the Pats with his ninth of the season and it was 3-1.

Swift Current restored their three goal lead with another powerplay goal to make it 4-1 and that was the final score.

The Pats outshot Swift Current 42-35, the powerplay was oh for three, the penalty kill two for four while Ryan Kubic made 31 saves.
