COORS LIGHT RECAP: A GUTSY PATS WIN IN CALGARY

CALGARY – The Regina Pats kicked off their Alberta road swing with a 3-2 overtime victory in Calgary over the Hitmen on Saturday night.

Sam Steel scored on a breakaway 32 seconds into overtime to ice the contest.

Regina trailed 1-0 after one and then 2-0 early in the third.

Aaron Hyman got the comeback started with his second of the season and then Jake Leschyshyn tied it at two with his 16th and the Pats went to overtime for the 11th time this season.

In the extra frame, Cameron Hebig sprung Sam Steel on a breakaway and he went backhand to score his 25th, giving the Pats a 3-2 win.

Hebig led the offence with a three assist night while Max Paddock made 23 saves.

Regina outshot Calgary 34-25, the powerplay was 0/2 and the penalty kill went 2/2.
