COORS LIGHT RECAP: ICE SNAP PATS’ STREAK

Regina – The Regina Pats saw their three game win streak come to an end on Friday night in a 4-2 loss to the Kootenay ICE at the Brandt Centre.

The ICE got the scoring started 46 seconds into the first when Alec Baer put home his 23rd and it was 1-0 after one.

In the second, the Pats found a tying goal from Nick Henry, his ninth and it was 1-1. However, Kootenay responded with three straight, one shorthanded, one on the powerplay and one even strength to lead 4-1 after 40 minutes.

The Pats got the game to within two when Matt Bradley picked up his 31st, 6:33 into the third period but the ICE would hold on from there for the 4-2 victory.

Sam Steel led the Pats with two assists while Ryan Kubic made 29 saves.

Regina outshot Kootenay 39-33, the powerplay was oh for five and the penalty kill was one for two.
