COORS LIGHT RECAP: WARRIORS DOUBLE PATS 6-3 IN HALL OF FAME GAME

MOOSE JAW – The Regina Pats dropped a 6-3 decision in Moose Jaw to the Warriors on Saturday night.
In the first, the Warriors opened the scoring 29 seconds in. Kjell Kjemhus had a shot go off his leg and in to make it 1-0. The Pats got the game tied on a strange play. Moose Jaw pulled their goalie for the extra attacker with a delayed penalty against the Pats, however the Warriors scored into their own net to even the score. Austin Pratt was given credit with his 22nd. Moose Jaw took the lead back late in the frame on the powerplay and it was 2-1 after one.
In the second, the Warriors went up 3-1 on an early goal from Tate Popple. Regina got back to within a goal halfway through the period, Sebastian Streu finished off his seventh, a powerplay marker and it was 3-2. The Warriors came back with two goals in a minute and a half to lead 5-2 and that was the score after 40 minutes.
In the third, the Pats got back to within a pair thanks to a five on three powerplay goal from Ty Kolle, his 13th and it was 5-3. The Pats pulled the goalie late for the extra attacker, the Warriors scored into the empty net and took the contest, 6-3 the final score.
The Pats were outshot 31-24. The powerplay was 2/5 while the penalty kill went 5/6. Austin Pratt led the offence with a goal and an assist while Max Paddock made 25 saves.
