DAWGS BITE RED SOX 8-2
The Okotoks Dawgs took a bite out of Regina Red Sox pitching banging 12 hits on their way to an 8-2 victory Thursday night. Regina managed just six hits in the game.
The Red Sox did jump out to an early 1-0 lead before the Dawgs chased Red Sox starter Tyler Vavra from the game, scoring four runs in the third inning.
Okotoks added insurance runs in the fifth and seventh before Regina countered with a run in the top of eight. The Dawgs rounded out the scoring with two more runs in their half of the eighth inning.
Fielding also played a role in the Red Sox second consecutive loss as they committed two errors. Defensively, Regina has now made eight errors in the first three games of their Alberta road trip.
The loss dropped the Queen City kid’s record to 19-22. Regina will look to collar the Dawgs on Friday night at Seaman Field in the final game of their road swing.
The Red Sox will return to the friendly confines of Currie Field for a pair of home games, on Saturday they host Melville and then on Monday Swift Current comes for a visit.

I will be boycotting Monday's game against the Swift Current team who's name I won't even say.
