DRESSLER NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Saskatchewan Roughrider receiver/returner Weston Dressler has been named a CFL Player of the Week.

The 29-year-old was named Special Teams Player of the Week following an impressive outing in the Riders 35-32 overtime win versus Ottawa on Sunday. The North Dakota native had five punt returns for a 103 yard total, including a 78 yard return for touchdown.

Dressler also added a game high 125 yards receiving on seven receptions, including a 60 yard touchdown.

Through four regular season games played, the seven year Rider has registered 13 punt returns for 219 yards and two touchdowns, and one kickoff return for 17 yards. He’s also added 16 catches for 210 yards and one touchdown.

This is the third time in his career Dressler has picked up CFL Player of the Week honours and second Special Teams recognition.

It is the eleventh time this season a Rider has earned Player of the Week honours after John Chick (three), Ricky Foley (three), Sam Hurl, Rob Bagg, Jerome Messam, Anthony Allen and now Weston Dressler have all been recognized.

#7 is the BEAST among BEASTS.
2 points out of first. Everything else is a moot point.

Mr. Taman, it's time to lock up this ND boy for the next 3 more years. He may not be Chad Owens but he needs to be paid like him.

Yes, if the Argos can fit Owens and Ray in their cap, the Riders can do the same for Durant and Dressler (and hopefully Chick).

I am sorry Rod… Your Monday Sports Cage programs on CKRM are becoming unbearable to listen too… You know why…

Every other day – not a problem…

My apologies if this seems rude.

If it is still tied than it is a tie and each team gets a point.

What's with this Dressler character? A haircut and no tattoos. Looks suspicious to me.
