DUB FINAL: BRONCOS TAKE 2-1 SERIES LEAD
EVERETT, Wash. – Glenn Gawdin supplied all the offence the Swift Current Broncos needed to take Game 3 of the Western Hockey League final.
Gawdin had a hat trick as Swift Current downed the Everett Silvertips 3-2 in overtime on Tuesday for a 2-1 series lead.
Gawdin tied the game 2-2 at 16:43 of the third period, then scored the winner 2:40 into extra time.
Riley Sutter and Matt Fonteyne scored late in the first for the Silvertips after Gawdin opened the scoring at 14:44.
Stuart Skinner turned away 37 shots for Swift Current as Carter Hart made 29 saves for Everett.
The Silvertips host Game 4 on Wednesday.
