DURANT BACK TO THE 6-GAME
The Roughriders announced on Thursday morning QB Darian Durant has gone back to the 6-game injured list.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders today announced international kick returner/running back Steven Miller and international linebacker Alvin Bowen have been added to the team.
Miller (5’7 – 172) signs with the Riders after attending training camp with the Detroit Lions of the National Football League where he appeared in three preseason games registering two receptions for 39 yards. The 23 year old Appalachian State product spent part of the 2013 season on the Lions practice roster after originally signing with the team as an undrafted free agent in April, 2013.
Bowen (6’2 – 225) will join the Green and White’s practice roster. The Iowa State product spent the 2013 season with the Calgary Stampeders where he appeared in 11 regular season games registering eight special teams tackles, three defensive tackles, and one interception. He also played two regular season games for the Stampeders in 2014 recording two special teams tackles.
The 30 year old previously spent four seasons in the NFL after being drafted by Buffalo in the fifth round (147th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft.
Soooooooooooooooooo that is unfortunate.
Looks like KJ is taking us to the promise land again.

I think it was pretty obvious when they brought Karry in that Darian wasn't coming back. This shouldn't really surprise anyone. I am a person who believe's in the law of average's, we lose on Friday in a close one with Calgary, Edmonton comes in here two weeks later and beats us in a close one as well. Then we head into the playoffs and beat Edmonton in Edmonton, Calgary get's cocky as usual and we beat them in Calgary then head off to BC to face Kent and the Hamilton Ti-Cats. Everyone on the planet picks Hamilton to win… Read more »
Anyone that thought Durant would be back was fooling themselves. Long term this is best. He may never be able to throw properly again so why push it. Maybe next year(a Saskatchewan logo).
But taman said durant was dressing for the last game against the Esks?
Move to 6 game is only for cap reasons. They will pull him off 6 game either for the Edmonton game or for the playoffs.
If you pull him off the 6 game, all of his salary counts towards the cap…so seems to me he is done for the year.
Steve Miller – coming in on a "Jet Liner"? Hope he can "Fly Like an Eagle" and is not here to "Just Take The Money and Run.".
The Joker
Not saying he will be, but Darian can be pulled back OFF the 6-game without any issues. Team likely avoiding salary going against the cap for this week and bye-week. I'm not sure how it affects his practice eligibility, but I don't think this move is to be taken as anything more than a cap issue. Take a breath, people!
Before we all take a breath, maybe you should understand how the cap works first.
If he is on the 6-game, he can not practice
totally agree with RC's commentary. it was obvious he wasnt coming back anytime soon.
There were changes to the injury list this season. You can pull as many guys as you want off the 6-game list throughout the season. Their salaries for all the games spent on the 6-game would then count against the cap with the exception of two of these situations. Putting DD back on the 6-game is mainly to do with saving cap space for another two weeks. If he's good to go for the week of the Edm home game, he comes off If not, he stays on another week….and repeat until when/if he can return. When you are placed… Read more »
Doesn't matter a damn if he comes back or not. He will not be in game shape and his arm sure as hell won't be. I am a "fan" but do not believe he is a "god".
KJ or bust.
I see mr KNOW it all's…. You knew more than the GM and the Dr's and Darian himself. The fact that Taman was on The Sports cage not but a few days ago saying that Darian will probably be playing in the last game of the year at Mosaic against the EE. Has far more validity than your blow it out your ass hot air bull shit. It's probably more fair to say that Darian made the decision today that his arm is no where near being ready.Unless the Riders are going to pull Darian off the 6 game injury list early.… Read more »
Listening to Sportscage with Mitchel Blair and Peter Loubardias. Lots of inside jokes which are a no-no on any program. What a maroon Blair is!
So what are they really doing with DArian
To RC ….. Where do you get that stuff you smoke , I want to try some ?
It's called O P T O M I S M…
Doh…
The Rock
6-game rosters have no effect on playoff games. All players can play in playoffs irregardless of salary cap, as players salaries do not include playoff games. Players are only paid on a per game basis (win/loss). DD's salary for the final two games will not count against cap, & he can play playoff game if he's ready
Irregardless of your word choice I will agree.

Got damn those riderville fool's are gullible for accepting so much bullsh*t. That starter QB situation at Sk.getting more ridiculous each passing day, now the CFL salary cap in the mix. That's all on the buffoon gm (injury excluded) who runs that carnival circus.
Durant will be back for playoffs what do you not understand?
Don't understand how gullible stupid pathetic the rider fanbase is.
The Rock- Lurn to spel.
Haha you're funni rock
Hot Carl… There is no such word as ""Irregardless"" in the English Dictonary!
It's "regardless"
