ESKIMOS SIGN LOCAL FULLBACK

The Edmonton Eskimo Football announces the signing of non-import fullback Smith Wright.

 

The University of Alberta Golden Bear was originally selected by Edmonton in the seventh round (55th overall) of the 2013 CFL Canadian Draft and returned to school for the 2013 season.

 

Wright, a six-foot-two 220-pound fullback, recorded 32 carries for 94 yards and four touchdowns; 18 receptions for 160 yards; and 21 special teams tackles during his collegiate career. He also served as the U of A’s long-snapper last season.
