FOOTBALL FRIDAY RUNDOWN

As always Fridays are reserved for the gridiron and we tackled all the latest news leading up to the biggest weekend of the NFL season so far!

We kicked it off with The Warmup examining the NFL Wildcard games and the betting lines. Next up we discussed star QB Aaron Rodgers reappearing on the Pat McAfee Show after viewers were promised he was done. We also recapped the news out of CFL Winter Meetings in Nashville.

RP Show football analyst Jim Barker joined the show – presented by EMJ Marketing Speakers Bureau – and the 5-time Grey Cup champ dissected Jerod Mayo taking over from Bill Belichick as head coach of the New England Patriots, and the legacy of Nick Saban in Alabama. Barker gave his NFL Wildcard picks and did a deep dive into all the CFL news including Ottawa being unable to cut veteran, injured, QB Jeremiah Masoli, rule change possibilities and upcoming CFL free agency.

NFL and CFL veteran receiver Manny Arceneaux joined the show from Jasper, AB where he’s doing a community appearance. The Manny Show is without a contract for 2024 and said he only needs to play one more year. However he’s not interested in being a “late season add” like Shawn Lemon and Darnell Sankey were for the Grey Cup champion Montreal Alouettes.
