FOOTBALL FRIDAY RUNDOWN: COACH PREDICTIONS & DANIELLA PONTICELLI!
Fridays remain reserved for football on The RP Show and we had ball for all on Episode #1,108 of your favourite daytime sportstalk show.
CFL On TSN analyst Jim Barker joined the show to preview this weekend’s games and said while there are no standings implications, there’s no such thing as a “meaningless” game in pro football. Of the three this weekend, he said he’s least interested in Friday’s Winnipeg/Calgary game at McMahon Stadium. He also said Chad Kelly should be named Most Outstanding Player in the CFL this season, and that Scott Milanovch should be named the next head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
3 Down Nation czar Justin Dunk burst into Darren Dupont’s broadcast studio and said the Riders should hire Argos assistant coach Cory Mace. Rod continued to promote Henry Burris.
In Hour 2 RP and DD kicked around this weekend’s NFL, CFL, and College/University games, plus played NFL Deal Or No Deal for our official betting partner Bet Regal (join the Bet Regal club for free this weekend at BetRegal.ca!).
Next up we were joined by groundbreaking broadcaster Daniella Ponticelli who announced last weekend she’s leaving Rider Radio and Regina Pats TV broadcasts for personal & professional opportunities in Toronto. She recapped a wild past couple of years on the Saskatchewan sports scene and said she’ll be releasing her news soon! She also thanked the Saskatchewan audience, and also thanked RP show co-host Sarina Taylor for being a trailblazer among women broadcasters. “I stand on the shoulders of people like Sarina!” Daniella said.
If you missed the show, catch the replay at 5 pm ET on Game+TV, on our YouTube channel or wherever you enjoy your podcasts. Enjoy the sports and we’ll see you Monday!

Women couldn’t even fathom this. I’m a truth teller. We had a Pats legendary Play by Play guy ride the bus for almost 20 years under the absolute… Read more »
