Friday Commentary: Not For The Faint Of Heart
(Listen daily for the RP Commentary on the All New Hits 98 CKHD & LTD Radio)
A coupla three or so thoughts entering another exciting sports weekend:
#1 – It’s time to get Cup Crazy! The final playoff pairings were decided on Thursday’s last night of the NHL regular season.
My picks to advance to Round 2: Winnipeg, Edmonton, Vancouver and Dallas in the West. In the East, Florida, Carolina, Toronto and the Rangers.
I could easily see a Dallas-Florida Stanley Cup Final. But how about Edmonton-Toronto as we predicted last year? Hmmmm?
#2 – We’re a week away from the NFL Draft but you’d think it was this weekend judging by all the pre-Draft hype. At least, that’s what it’s like where I live.
But you see, I’m not big on wasting energy and there is no bigger energy- or time-waster than these NFL Mock Drafts.
There are entire TV and radio shows dedicated to them, filling up hours and days of content, but they’re largely 100% wrong!
Therefore, I haven’t looked at any of them.
#3 – Now we all love some good gossip, even if it’s rots our mind, and Thursday’s news that Robert Kraft torpedoed Bill Belichick’s chances of getting the Atlanta Falcons coaching job is as juicy as it gets.
If you haven’t seen it, do a simple Google News search of “Belichick” and you’ll quickly find all the gory details.
Kraft told the Falcons “not to trust” Belichick, and that’s all it took for them to pass. Six Super Bowls, 333 wins, but Kraft stuck a knife in Bill when he was looking for work elsewhere.
Pro sports – not for the faint of heart.

That Belichik story. Disgusting. Here’s the deal. Belichick has never been an NFL blue blood. He is the smartest guy in any room he ever walked into. They all know he is. He was a grinding assistant for decades. This happened to him in Cleveland. He and that staff were playing 3 tier chess when everyone was playing checkers. I know football. If Belichick wins and he will win. He is 72 and 15 wins away from breaking thr record of royalty – they don’t want that happening. If he wins a Super Bowl – that means Robert Kraft is… Read more »

Sorry Mike we are going in a different direction.
Last point.
Arthur Blank pushing Mike Vick’s wheelchair and he is a judge of character?
There are a lot of dumb rich guys that for some reason stay rich believing the last thing they heard.
