FRIDAY COMMENTARY – OUT OF THIS WORLD

I’m wondering today if you’re into this weekend’s NFL conference championship games yet?
Maybe you are. Maybe you aren’t. But it really doesn’t take much to get excited once you delve into the match-ups and pregame hype.
For instance, these are the most evenly-matched NFL Final Four games going back to 1998! That’s 25 years.
How do we know? Well it all comes down to betting and these are the narrowest point spreads since Jean Chretien was Prime Minister and Bill Clinton was President.
Philadelphia is favoured by 2.5-points at home over San Francisco in the NFC Championship while over in the AFC, at our exclusive betting partner Bet Regal, the Kansas City Chiefs are favoured by 1.5-points at home over Cincinnati.
Actually Bet Regal’s the only betting site I’ve seen that doesn’t have the Bengals favoured on the road. So there’s that!
Are you big on momentum this time of year? The 49ers have won 12 in a row while the Bengals have won their past 10 straight games.
And somehow or another, the NFL always seems to come up with an out-of-this-world storyline.
In this weekend’s case, it’s rookie San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy. The Queen Creek, Arizona product was the last player taken in last year’s NFL Draft and thus earned the nickname “Mr. Irrelevant”.
Now, he’s won seven straight games and vying to be the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to lead his team to the Super Bowl.
Now … does that give you reason enough to watch on Sunday?
Y’er welcome.
