A fan was hit by a flying bat at Wrigley Field and carried from the stands on a stretcher during the Cubs’ 4-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. There was no immediate report on the fan’s condition. Chicago rookie Addison Russell lost control of his bat on a swing as he led off the bottom of the seventh inning. The bat flew into the seats, hitting the fan and drawing blood.

Damian Lillard had 32 points and seven assists as the Portland Trail Blazers toppled the Memphis Grizzlies 99-92 in Game 4 of their first-round series to keep their post-season alive. The Grizzlies still lead 3-1 with the series heading back to Memphis for Game 5.

Toronto Argonauts owner David Braley is in talks with Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment chairman Larry Tanenbaum and Bell Media about purchasing the CFL club, according to reports. The 73-year-old Braley has been actively searching for a buyer to take over the franchise for some time.
