GREY CUP DRAWS 10 MILLION VIEWERS
TORONTO – The Ottawa Redblacks 39-33 overtime victory over the Calgary Stampeders in the 104th Grey Cup on Sunday drew 10 million unique viewers, according to TSN.
The network stated in a release that an average audience of 3.9 million viewers tuned in to TSN (3.6 million) and RDS (254,000) according to preliminary overnight data from Numeris. Overall, the total reach grew three per cent compared to last year.
The average audience peaked at 5.7 million viewers late in the fourth quarter as a Calgary field goal forced the game into overtime, where Ottawa wide receiver Ernest Jackson caught an 18-yard touchdown pass from Grey Cup MVP Henry Burris for the game’s decisive score.
Nationwide, the average audience for the game grew 15 per cent among male viewers aged 18-34, and grew four per cent among male viewers aged 18-49.
Live streaming audiences on TSN Digital platforms marked an increase of 35 per cent compared to last year’s Grey Cup. TSN’s 360-video pre-game content attracted more than 23,000 total views and TSN’s official Snapchat story featuring behind-the-scenes content attracted 219,000 views.

The average audience is down from last year by 300,000 viewers which was down from the year before that. The 2012 Grey Cup had average English viewership in excess of 5 million. The 2013 Grey Cup drew around 4.5 million. The CFL can spin the numbers however they want but the fact is this year continues to help downward trend in Grey Cup viewership.
Always someone that has to dispute any good news generated by the CFL. It's the Canadian way.
