HILLTOPS WIN CLASH OF THE UNBEATENS
On a rainy night at Saskatoon’s SMF Field, the hometown Hilltops won bragging rights for PFC supremacy with a 35-17 victory over the Regina Thunder.
Both teams went into Saturday night’s game with 3-0 records.
Saskatoon running back Logan Fischer amassed 293 yards along the ground and was the difference as the Hilltops outscored Regina 21-3 in the second half.
In the first quarter the Thunder drew first blood on a Colton Klassen touchdown and led 7-0 after 1. In the second the Hilltops tied it up on a Chad Braun touchdown catch. The Thunder retook the lead after a blocked punt and good field position that was capped off by a Thomas Bresciani major to make it 14-7. Saskatoon tied it up before halftime when Logan Fischer carried one to paydirt and it was 14-14 at the break.
In the second half Evan Kopchynski caught a touchdown and then QB Jared Andreychuk ran one in to make it 28-14. Kris Calcutt kicked a Regina field goal after that and the Hilltops lead was 28-17 after 3.
Drayke Unger scored a touchdown along the ground for the lone points of the 4th and it was 35-17 Saskatoon, that was the final.
The Thunder turned the ball over 3 times in the contest to the Hilltops one.
Regina can get revenge on Saturday when they host the Hilltops at 7:00 pm at Mosaic Stadium on Access 7.

Another win for the Hilltops!! Surprise, surprise!!
don't be so cocky the thunder will get them back!
The only win that matters is the last one of the season.
Local coach and staff, and a prototypical result! And defence was supposed to be the strong area. This group has no chance prevailing over the Hilltops. Never have and never will..
Way to go Hilltops!
hilltoppers ….simply the BEST!
