Calgary, AB – On a day where the Calgary Hitmen inducted alumnus Ryan Getzlaf into the “Forever A Hitmen” program in front of 11,436 fans, the team responded with a 5-2 win over the Regina Pats on Sunday at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

New York Rangers prospect Adam Tambellini scored his first hat-trick of the season, second of his career, to lead the offence while Mack Shields turned in a brilliant 31 save performance helping the Hitmen improve to 24-17-1-4 on the season.
Keegan Kanzig and Connor Rankin also netted goals for Calgary with Rankin also collecting two assists.  Ben Thomas added a pair of helpers as the Hitmen broke a 1-1 tie by scoring the only three goals of the middle period.
Austin Wagner and Braden Christoffer replied for the Pats who outshot Calgary 33-24.
