HUNT RESIGNS IN FORT MAC, LIKELY HEADED TO P.A.
Fort McMurray, Alta. (June 5, 2015) — The Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have announced the resignation of Head Coach and General Manager Curtis Hunt.
“The Oil Barons would like to thank Curtis for his contributions over the past year and wish him the best in his future hockey endeavours, ” said Northern Alberta Athletic Association (NAAA) and Oil Barons President Dave Fitzgerald.
“The Oil Barons will now begin a recruiting effort to find a new coach and general manager,” said Fitzgerald.
A timeline for a replacement has not been determined.
**Meanwhile the Prince Albert Raiders have called a news conference for Monday morning at which time they’ll name their new General Manager. It’s expected it will be Curtis Hunt, who captained that franchise in the 1980’s and won a Memorial Cup with the Raiders in 1985.
Holy Smokes!!
In his last years' as the coach of the Pats, Hunt seemed mentally checked out. No disrespect intended, in fact I think Hunt's overall body of work is impressive. I bet this man has some stories to tell.
Congratulations to Huntsy as the new PA Raider GM
WTF is this ^^^^
Cmon Roddy, start weeding out this crap
PA just stepped back 5 years now.
Any player in the PA raiders system, better ask for a trade or release. I feel sorry for Raiders in hiring this guy, The Oil Barons are doing cart wheels now that he's gone. He won't be missed in Fort Mac
HAHAHAHAHA. Check out the LP this morning. Vanstone and his lackeys are too proud to admit they got beat on this story. "Online reports" suggest Hunt to be named Raiders GM. I guess they are too afraid to say RodPedersen.com.
That says a lot about them!
thats one the other 99 percent of the time its the otherway around lol
Better Hunt get it than Lang.
they should of hired Brent Parker hahahahahahahahaha.
Yes way better Hunt than Lang
