Regina, Sask. — The Regina Pats allowed three power plays goals, including the game-winner, in their 5-4 overtime loss to the Lethbridge Hurricanes on home ice on Saturday night.

Hurricanes forward Justin Hall scored the overtime winner on the man advantage 1:50 into the extra frame to give the visitors the extra point. Jett Jones netted two goals for Lethbridge, with Corson Hopwo and Ty Nash scoring the other goals.

For the Pats, the line of Connor Bedard, Tanner Howe and Tye Spencer combined for three goals — one each. Braxton Whitehead also potted a goal at even-strength.

While the Pats three power play goals against was the biggest reason for the defeat, another contributing factor was their own power play, which went 0-for-7.

Bedard did increase his point streak to 15 games with another two points. He has 31 points (14G-17A) during that span.

The shots on goal in the contest favoured the Pats 35-27.
