HUSKIES 38 RAMS 37
REGINA, Sask. – The University of Regina Rams led by 23 points late in the third quarter, but were unable to hang on and suffered a 38-37 defeat to Saskatchewan Friday night at Mosaic Stadium. With the loss, the Rams, 2015 season concludes at 0-8.
Saskatchewan took its first – and only – lead of the game with 20 seconds left after Jarvis James punched it in from one yard out to cap an eight-play, 73-yard drive that was set up mainly by a 43-yard screen pass to Andre Lalonde.
The win will likely send the Huskies to the postseason and a date with No. 1-ranked Calgary in the conference semifinals, barring a monumental upset of the undefeated Dinos by Alberta on Saturday.
Noah Picton completed 26 of his 33 pass attempts for the Rams, with his 78.7% completion rate setting a new school record. He finished with 315 passing yards including touchdown passes to Mitch Thompson and Riley Wilson. Atlee Simon had 155 rushing yards and a touchdown, while linebacker Michael Stefanovic set a school and Canada West record with a 108-yard fumble return for a touchdown in the third quarter.

Riders, Rams, Pats….. common thread?
That was a great game. Mitch Hillis might have a CFL career
So Mike Gibson takes over this program and they don't win a game. He told you and Mullinder a couple of weeks ago they don't have good players which I am sure went over great in the room, and he told the LP he doesn't want Grade 12 graduates and would rather have junior players which has ticked off high school coaches from one corner of the province to another. When you have this clown on the Cage this week, can you ask him how much blame he personally takes for what happened this season? It would do the Rams… Read more »
Watched the game on TV and was impressed with the old Scruffdog and Luc. Thought Mitch was going to lose his mind on the Steffanovic fumble rec TD.
Funniest moment of the game was late in the contest when you could hear some fan tell Gibson to go back to Ottawa. I'm guessing they don;t want him back.
Rams have no one to blame but themselves for this bad season. I guess having Frank "retire" might not have been the smartest move after all.
Jeff
Huskies haven't missed the playoffs for 16 years and in that same time, the Lambs have had 3 0-8 seasons and probably a 4th if Gibson stays and god, I hope that happens!
How does it taste Regina?
No doubt that with Frank in charge the Rams would have beat the Calgary Dinos this year LOL.
move the new stadium and the riders to Saskatoon, where winning is the "norm"!!
#WeAreAllHuskies!
Rams, Pats keep losing…Huskies , Blades keep winning. Now that sounds familiar.
What is all this talk from Saskatoon with Saskatoon winning. Only the Hilltops can seem to won any championships. When did the Blades win anything. 0 whl and mem cup wins and the Huskies havent won a Vanier since the Bombers won grey cup basically.
How many Vaniers have the lambs won?
Rams suck balls just like the Riders.
BREAKING NEWS: Rams replace Mike Gibson with Corey Chamblin!!!
Rod, in response to Dave M. I would rather you not have Gibson on, but bring on Dean Picton or Dan Johnson to have them give an explanation as to what is happening with this team, where its future is and why in the hell they hired Mike Gibson in the first place. Before he took over, I heard terrible things about him which were confirmed in the Matt Dunigan TSN article and now you see what has happened. I've heard enough of Gibson, let's hear from the guys who hired him and hopefully fire him and bring in someone… Read more »
Your not allowed to question the Ram Executive because everything they do is right and if you don't tow the party line you will be not allowed on RAM ISLAND. Its kinda like a Harper control thing they got going on.
Much like Canada, RAM ISLAND, needs a change at the top it would seem.
Not to many can become Head Coaches , assistant at best and it showed. Too bad and waste of a year.
Didn't realize Gibson is just an offensive line coach and never made it as a offensive corodinator. I know Henry was happy this year. He must of gotten strong enough lol.
