The Moose Jaw Warriors are excited to announce that throughout the 2014-2015 WHL regular season they will be wearing special edition jerseys in celebration of their 30th anniversary.

The jerseys will be red and feature their original logo from the 1984-1985, which was their first in Moose Jaw after moving from Winnipeg.

Throughout the month of February season ticket holders will have the opportunity to pre-order their 30th Anniversary jersey for $99, this special offer is valid until February 20th.

"In celebration of our 30th anniversary we are excited to offer our season ticket holders a special chance to own a piece of Warriors history," commented Corey Nyhagen, Warriors Director of Business Operations. "The jersey and anniversary logo encompasses 30 years of exciting Warriors tradition. We look forward to seeing every citizen of Planet Red displaying their Warriors colours next season."

I am not going to be offended on anyone's behalf (I don't care about political correctness at all) but I will say I believe this logo choice is a bad decision and Warriors management will regret this choice. The list of teams that have moved away from this kind of imagery is long for a good reason.

If the Warriors really wanted to go retro, they should have used a Moose Jaw Canucks theme.

Sorry 1st Nations people of SK. The word Warrior dates back over 500 years to other forms of Battle driven cultures before it was ever used to describe what was happening in North America.Get over it already. Its not like they are named by the color of a culture's skin or an assimilation of said people to another culture. Political correctness garbage is becoming more of a poison than anything.
