Gabrielle sat on the bench in the 3rd so how was that getting Swift off their game?

Damage already done. Had the ponies unglued and potted the 2nd goal to boot. Good move by Paddock to keep the agitator out of reach in the 3rd, further frustrating the swift Current goons

Gabrielle was sat because of his stupid penalty chirping the refs before the faceoff was dropped cause Lernout 2 handed the back of his leg as they were setting up for the faceoff…. amazingly the refs missed the 2 hander but unfortunately Gabrielle needed to prove his case to the refs by banging his stick on the ice and chirping them. Before this penalty Gabrielle had the entire Broncos team worried about him and him only. They didn't seem as interested in the game as they were to challenge Gabrielle to a fight… LeSann challenged Gabrielle and you could see… Read more »

Wholeheartedly agree. As a young 17 year old (6 months older than Steel) Jesse had established himself as the premiere agitator in the CHL and quite capable of backing it up. And of course, it doesn't hurt that he is one of the top pure sniper in the 1997 age group world wide. However, he still shows his age once in a while, as yapping at refs when things don't go your way is a sure sign of immaturity. I believe this is what Rod was eluding to.  The good news for Gabrielle (and Pat fans) is he has a… Read more »

Was a nail biter watching here from Whitehorse…a nervous 3rd period after putting on all the pressure but not being able to pot one. Jesse will be Jesse but Paddock can handle him correctly. How about Sergey! – +5 in 2 games!… not bad for a 17 year old. The young guys are playing so well and vets are showing their maturity for sure. Can't wait for Tuesday.

must agree with scott. leshyshyn, gabrielle, hobbs and cooper have made it easy to forget klimchuck, gay, hunt and burroughs. plus extra opportunities for padakin, brooks, wagner, berg and Williams. we are better now than before and for years to come. wagner finally wake up last night after only 4 points in past 2 months. a big goal from his line might be the most important of the series. lecshyshyn showing he is even better than steel and we don't have to run whole team around him either. exceptional 3rd line center for us right now and will have bigger… Read more »

Paddock is mishandling Gabrielle. He sets him down for yapping. Yet in game 1 Christopher who played poorly was yapping at a SC player getting a penalty. The refs warned him but he continued and got an even up penalty. It was an even up rather than a pp for the Pats. He didn't miss the rest of the game?? Paddock sometimes doesn't get the junior game. He wants the honey but not the bees.

You tell 'em Roddy! I completely agree!

That said, the stupidity in the comments section is your own doing. You could stop it but I imagine having a blog with lots of comments is good for your wallet.

They aren't supposed to be in?? Did they not finish ahead of SC. And for God sakes Rod let people have an opinion and put aside your vendetta for Gabrielle. We get it you don't like him. You don't have to have a minute by minute recap of every single shift of the game.

Agree with Rod on this one, which is very rare. Gabrielle had no reason to be on the ice down the stretch once we're leading to take a chance of doing something stupid to cost the team or risk injury. Did you see the three or four Bronco players chasing him up and down the red line in warmup? The damage was done for the night. Wait until in Swift Current when the benches are across from each other and he doesn't have to spend the whole night yapping bench-to-bench. He can concentrate on hockey! Paddock knows exactly what he's… Read more »

Doesn't need to yap at the bench. The Broncos will come to him. It's what happened last game in Swift Current. Had the team infuriated… got an assist and two goals to make it even better.
