Mr. Kevin Glenn has joined the Detroit Catholic Central family as the first Admissions Community Outreach Manager in school history.

Kevin will join current Director of Admissions and Public Relations, Jake Marmul ’07, and Admissions Enrollment Manager, David Sofran, in helping to bring new families into the Catholic Central community. In his role, Kevin will be focusing on reaching students from diverse racial, geographic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

“I am excited for what Kevin brings to our Admissions team,” said Fr. Fulton, Principal at Catholic Central. “His history of coaching and mentoring illustrates his passion for providing students opportunities and working to change their lives for the better.”

With a newly expanded bus system and increased tuition assistance available, CC has further dedicated itself to serving families who might think that a Catholic high school education is out of reach.

“I am thrilled to be joining such a prestigious institution with a very rich history,” Kevin said. “I look forward to helping introduce families who may not have considered Catholic Central as an option to the core goodness, discipline, and knowledge that CC is built on. There are tremendous opportunities here for young men to succeed in high school, college, and beyond if they are ready to accept the challenge.”

Kevin graduated from St. Martin DePorres High School in Detroit before attending Illinois State University, where he received a football scholarship and graduated with a degree in Industrial Technology. After Illinois State he was drafted into the Canadian Football League where, over an 18-year career, he became the first player in league history to play for every franchise and is ranked 6th all-time on the professional quarterback passing list.  Kevin then turned to education as a profession, as a long-term substitute teacher before accepting a full time teaching role at a Detroit Public High School. In addition to teaching, Kevin has been active in coaching and athletic training for students throughout the Metro Detroit area. Kevin currently resides in Van Buren Township with his wife Asha and their two children, Kaleb and Dylan.
