LIONS ADD FORMER RIDER QB

(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club announced that international quarterback Jonathon Jennings and has signed with the team.

Jennings joins the Lions following an exceptional four-year colligate career at Saginaw Valley State where he threw for 10,710 yards and 96 touchdowns on 799 career completions. The Ohio native was the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s Player of the Year in 2013 following a noteworthy senior campaign completing 220 passes for 3,284 yards and a conference-leading 31 majors. Jennings attended a free agent camp with the Saskatchewan Roughriders last year and also had short stints with the Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers.

The newly-signed Jennings will make his Lions debut in two weeks as the club prepares for a three-day passing camp slated for April 27th to 29th at Cloverdale Athletic Park (6410-168 street, Surrey).

Must be very good. Attended a free agent camp for the Riders last year.
If the Riders didn't sign him maybe BC can see the enormous potential in this young man. Will be interesting to see if he is more than training camp fodder.

Interesting signing. They tried out Cayman Shutter. I wonder if Shutter went to Saginaw Valley State DII instead of U of H, where he did not get past being #2 QB, then U of R in CIS where he was gunslinging to Addison Richards.
would he have lit it up at a DII school and gotten an invite to Riders or Lions mini camp.
