LIONS ADVANCE, BEAT BOMBERS 32-31 IN CFL WSF
VANCOUVER – Jonathon Jennings scored his second rushing touchdown of the second half on a gutsy nine-yard scamper with 66 seconds left in the fourth quarter as the B.C. Lions came back to defeat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 32-31 on Sunday in the CFL’s West Division semifinal.
The second-year quarterback looked to be in trouble as the pocket collapsed around him, but escaped before outrunning Bombers safety Taylor Loffler and diving for the end zone to put his team up by one.
After the two-point conversion attempt failed, Winnipeg got the ball back and moved it to B.C.’s 53, but Justin Medlock’s 61-yard attempt came up well short in front of a raucous crowd at B.C. Place Stadium.
The Lions will now visit the Calgary Stampeders in next Sunday’s West Division final.

I think DD can cross off Wpg as a possible destination. Nicholls looked pretty good and probably established himself as a solid No. 1 guy going forward. BC fluked a win in that one.

After watching these two playoff games it really drives home how far the riders have to go to be in the mix next year. A playoff berth next year means being better than 2 of the 3 west teams that played today. I get that players will move around but the starting point is quite a way behind already.
