‎Another exciting BC Lions home game is on tap and there’s no better way to get game day started than with the BC Lions Tailgate Party presented by Nissan starting at 2:00 pm on Terry Fox Plaza.

Live music on Saturday will come courtesy of the Elias Tyson Band and a performance by the Felions is also on-deck for the Tailgate Party along with lots of great family activities while early-bird food and beverage pricing is in effect inside BC Place from 4:00 to 4:30 pm.

Saturday’s pregame panel hosted by Christie Buono will tap into the football expertise of former Leos Geroy Simon, Tom Europe, and Davis Sanchez.  

For Lions fans looking for a bit of a different game-day vibe, the new Club Orange features unique food and beverage options, a live DJ and plenty of club atmosphere for $40 plus applicable fees and taxes.

While making their way to the Tailgate Party on Terry Fox Plaza, fans are asked to support the Purolator Tackle Hunger program by bringing cash or a non-perishable food item for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society and Surrey Food Bank as volunteers including wives, girlfriends and family members of the BC Lions will be stationed at Gates A and H ready to help collect donations.

In return for their donation, fans will have an opportunity to take a picture with the Grey Cup.

Game Overview
The BC Lions (4-8) play host to the Saskatchewan Roughriders (2-11) on Saturday afternoon at BC Place. Fans across BC and those heading down to the game can tune into the TSN1040 pregame show starting at 2:00 pm.

It’s a critical game for the Lions as they look to get back in the win column and start off October on the right foot. The club currently sits third in the West Division, but on the outside of the playoff picture making Saturday’s tilt versus the ‘Riders the biggest game of the season to date.

Rookie quarterback Jonathon Jennings gets his second career start after an impressive performance last week in Edmonton throwing for 281 yards and two touchdowns. The young pivot will lead the offence versus a Saskatchewan team that the Lions have defeated twice this season including a thrilling overtime win at BC Place in Week 2.  

With 12 games in the books, the Lions enter the last third of the regular season needing to put together multiple wins in order to climb back into the West Division race and secure a playoff spot.

Look for a revved-up squad Saturday afternoon in front of the biggest crowd of the year.
