LONDON, Ont. – Guelph Storm defenceman Chad Bauman has been suspended for the rest of the MasterCard Memorial Cup for delivering a knee-on-knee hit on Val-d’Or Foreurs defenceman Guillaume Gelinas in a game last Monday.
Gelinas participated in the team’s warmup Tuesday night but did not play in a 4-3 double-overtime win over the Edmonton Oil Kings. He was the highest-scoring defenceman in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this past season with 23 goals and 69 assists in 67 games.
