Millers Force Deciding Game 3
The Moose Jaw Miller Express have lived to fight another day and in the process, are one win away from clinching the Western Canadian Baseball League championship.
After dropping Game 1 of the Best-of-3 final series by a 7-4 count Thursday to the Dawgs in Okotoks, the Millers rallied for five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning Friday at Ross Wells Park to earn an 8-7 victory.
It sets up a one game showdown Saturday night at Seaman Stadium for the WCBL crown.
The Millers were led offensively Friday evening by Austin Gurney’s 3-run homerun and used six different pitchers. Matt Vasquez was credited with the win while Westin Walz earned the save.
First pitch Saturday night is 7:05 pm MT and you can watch the action on Home Team Live.
